Police issue witness appeal on road death

Police are appealing for information to help learn the whereabouts of Landro Minors prior to the crash that took his life.A white van was stolen from outside a Naval Tanks Hill, St George’s home this weekend.

In particular, police said they are interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen Mr Minors between Collectors Hill and Middle Road, near the junction with Clarendon Road, before the 9.45pm collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Tyrone Fox on 247-1788.

Van stolen from St George’s home

A Police Spokeswoman said yesterday that at some point between 10.30pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday, a van with the words ‘Food for Thought’ on the side and a licence plate number of L2731 was taken.

Anyone with information, or who may know the location of the van, is asked to contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

The public is being reminded to lock their windows and doors after a series of burglaries in the St George’s and Warwick areas this weekend.

A Police Spokeswoman said that jewellery and cash were taken in the burglaries.

Along with locking windows and doors, the public is advised to secure valuable items out of sight, to record serial numbers and take pictures of valuable items in case they are stolen and later recovered.
