Armed robbery suspects arrested

Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a Trinity Church Road home.

The incident, in which a pair of gunmen stole personal effects from the Hamilton Parish residence before making their escape on a stolen motorcycle, was said by residents to have caused “consternation” in the neighbourhood.

A pedestrian on Westwood Lane, Paget was also confronted later that night by two gun-carrying men, but no injuries or robberies were reported.

Last night, police announced that two men had been arrested after a search warrant was executed on a Rambling Lane, Pembroke home. Both are being held for questioning.

Detectives appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact them at 247-1739, or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.
