Four people arrested after disturbance

Four people arrested following a scuffle outside a Sandys residence have been released on police bail pending forensic exams.

The disturbance saw two men from the area treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and discharged, police said.

Two men and two women aged “18 to 19 years” were arrested in connection with the 9.30pm incident on Butterfield Lane on Friday.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following an accident near the Fairmont Southampton hotel.

The Warwick man was treated at KEMH for injuries sustained in an apparent single-vehicle motorcycle collision at 6.15am on Sunday on South Shore Road.

He is expected to face charges in court, police said.

Five people were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of impaired driving; 15 were arrested for outstanding warrants.
