Two Sandys men arrested after gun is seized

Two men were arrested yesterday following a police raid at a home on Sound View Road in Sandys that netted a handgun and ammunition.

A spokesman said the arrests were made after police officers executed a search warrant.

He added: “Working in partnership with members of the community the Bermuda Police Service is focused on getting illegal firearms off the street.”

Inquiries by the Serious Crime Unit are now underway. Anyone with information on the location of an illegal firearm is urged to contact the Serious Crime Unit in confidence on 247-1739 or the independent and confidential CrimeStoppers hotline on 800-8477.
