Police have confirmed that a gun was fired in Sandys on Tuesday night, although no one is believed to have been injured in the incident.A spokesman said that officers responded to reports of gunshots being heard in the Valley Lane area of Sandys at around midnight. Forensic evidence confirmed a firearm was discharged.“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477,” the spokesman said.
