A man has denied committing a 2011 shooting in Warwick.

Khyri Smith-Williams, from Broome Street, Sandys, pleaded not guilty to a charge of unlawfully shooting Tyrone Pedro with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Mr Smith-Williams also denied using a firearm to commit an indictable offence.

Acting Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe remanded Mr Smith-Williams into custody, with the matter expected to return to the court on June 5.
