Liquor store guard released from hospital

A security guard who was stabbed outside Carousel Liquors on Front Street on Wednesday night has been treated and discharged from hospital, police announced this morning.

The 46-year-old man was assaulted by another man at about 8.15pm.

Police continue to seek the suspect, described as about 5ft 5in tall, with a bald or shaved head, who was wearing a black helmet, black jacket, blue jeans, black socks and flip flops, and riding a black motorcycle.

Witnesses are asked to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.
