Five held after teenagers brawl at Turtle Bay

Five people were arrested after a weekend fight that involved about 50 teenagers.

Police went to the scene after people reported a disturbance.

A police spokesman said: “Callers reported bottles being thrown and knives being brandished; however, there were no injuries reported.

“A quick police response brought a stop to the fighting as several males dispersed from the area.”

The incident happened at Turtle Bay in Clearwater Park at about 5.20pm on Friday. The arrests were for alleged offences, including possession of a knife.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident. They have asked anyone who had video or pictures of the incident not to post them on social media.

The spokesman said they should be turned in to the police to aid the investigation.
