Thieves stole cash and merchandise after breaking into a shop while Bermuda was on alert for Hurricane Paulette.

Cigars, tote bags, costume jewellery and clothes were among the items stolen at the Resort Shop at the Fairmont Southampton earlier this week.

The incident happened between 5pm on Sunday and 9am on Tuesday.

Anyone who suspects they have been offered stolen items should call police on 295-0011.
