Criminal records check office closes to walk-ins

The police criminal records office has closed to walk-ins because of the increase in Covid-19 cases.

A police spokesman said the office, which also handles vetting requests from members of the public, would be shut until further notice.

People who need a criminal record check can still apply online.

Applicants should scan and e-mail the application form, the required supporting documentation and proof of payment to vetting@bps.bm.

More information is available here or by phone at 247-1750.

A police spokesman said the requested documents would be e-mailed and a hard copy sent to the address on the form.

He warned that people could expect some delays because of the increased number of coronavirus cases.
