A man was stabbed in the arm during an incident in Sandys on Sunday, police said.

Officers were called at about 12.10am to Woody’s Bar and Restaurant, where they “identified and secured a crime scene”.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “Acting on information provided, officers attended a nearby residence where they spoke with the 31-year-old male victim, who had sustained a stab wound to his right arm.

“He was transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment to his injuries, which were described as non-life threatening.”

Inquiries continued today and police appealed for witnesses.

The spokesman added: “There were several people at Woody’s Bar and Restaurant when the incident occurred.”

Anyone with information was asked to call 211 or the main police number 295-0011.
