Police are appealing for witnesses to a chase between a car and a bike on Monday.

According to the Bermuda Police Service, a man on a motorcycle began chasing a silver car on South Road, Devonshire, shortly after 8pm and followed the car up to Collector’s Hill, Smith’s.

The pursuit then carried on westward on South Road to Trimingham Hill, onto East Broadway and into the City of Hamilton.

The chase ended at the junction of Parliament and Church Streets, when the motorcyclist rode away, police said.

The rider of the motorcycle is described as a Black male wearing a bandana with a skull print, a dark coloured helmet and a black and white T-shirt. The bike is described as a dark step through cycle.

“Police are particularly interested in speaking with a taxi operator who was driving his taxi in the area of Spurling Hill, Hamilton, and may have had to take evasive action as a result of this incident,” the spokesperson said.

Any witnesses are urged to call 211 or Hamilton Police Station’s duty sergeant at 295-0011.

This story has been corrected to show that the incident occurred on Monday, September 19 and not Sunday as incorrectly stated in the original police statement.
