Three arrested in investigation of credit card fraud

Three Bermudians have been arrested as part of an investigation into credit card fraud.

A police spokesman confirmed the arrests last week.

“All suspects, a 59-year-old male and two females, aged 59 and 54, have been released on bail pending further inquiries,” the spokesman said.

“The investigation into this matter remains ongoing, as such, no further information will be provided at this time.”

A source with knowledge of the investigation said the three are alleged to have stolen as much as $800,000 using illegally obtained credit card information.
