An investigation has been launched into a firearms incident that happened yesterday afternoon in Southampton.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman confirmed that reports were received of a single gunshot heard at about 4.20pm.

It was understood that the incident happened in a neighbourhood near Horseshoe Bay and that no one was injured.

Detectives sought two suspects who left the scene on a dark motorcycle without a licence plate.

The suspects were last seen travelling east along Middle Road in Warwick.
