Man injured in stabbing in Hamilton park

A man has been arrested after a stabbing at Queen Elizabeth Park this afternoon.

A police spokesman said that at about 3.30pm officers and other emergency services responded to a reported disturbance at the park.

“Upon arrival, a male victim was found with a stab wound to his torso,” the spokesman said.

“He was attended to at the scene by EMTs and subsequently transported to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where, at last check, he continued to receive treatment for his injuries.

“A male suspect was arrested near by and an item liable for seizure was found in his possession.”

An investigation into the stabbing has been launched and anyone with information is urged to call Detective Sergeant Seymour Foote on 717-2282 or 247-1744, or e-mail sfoote@bps.bm.
