Man sustains head injury after assault in Dockyard

A man is being treated in hospital for a head injury following an assault in Dockyard last night.

The Bermuda Police Service was joined by other emergency services at about 9.15pm near the ferry terminal.

A spokesman for the BPS said: “Upon arrival, officers located one male victim who had sustained a head injury. He was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time.

“The circumstances surrounding the assault remain unclear and investigations are ongoing.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a disturbance in the area during the time of the incident to contact Inspector Kenten Trott on 717-2345 or e-mail ktrott@bps.bm.
