Police found a man with a weapon and illegal drugs on Sunday morning.

A spokesman said officers responded to a report of a prowler at a Middle Road, Southampton home at about 9.15am.

He said: “Upon arrival, officers observed a male at the location. He was unable to provide a reasonable excuse for his presence at the residence.”

Police recovered a knife, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia while searching the man, who was then revealed to have several outstanding warrants.

He was then arrested for having the drugs, equipment and weapon in public, as well as the outstanding warrants.
