Man shot in Devonshire

A man was shot in Devonshire last night and taken to hospital although the extent of his injuries is not yet known.
The Bermuda Police Service said armed officers went to the Mary Victoria Road/Alexandra Road area around 10.40pm after receiving reports about gunshots heard in the area.
A spokeswoman said evidence suggesting that a firearm had been discharged was discovered.
A short time later, police also received reports that a male was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. There was no information on his condition.
Police cordoned off the area and an investigation is underway.
