Police call on public assistance to find suspect in 2016 murder
Police have renewed their call for help in identifying a suspect, captured on CCTV footage, in the 2016 murder of Jason Mello.
Mr Mello was shot at about 7.30pm on August 19 outside of a residence on Bandroom Lane in Pembroke.
The suspect was caught on CCTV prior to the murder and was thought to be waiting for Mr Mello to arrive.
Police said last year that the suspect was dressed in heavy, dark winter clothing that “would have stood out on a warm August evening” and was wearing a full-face visor helmet.
Anyone with information on the identity of the person in the video clip, or any other information that can assist with the investigation, was urged to call the Serious Crime Department on 247-1739 or the independent Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.
