A man was taken to hospital on Saturday for injuries sustained in an altercation in St David’s, police said.

A spokesman said that shortly after 10am, officers were dispatched to a reported dispute involving two men in the area of Cove Valley Drive.

At the scene, it was ascertained that one of the males was injured. The suspect in the matter was found at a nearby residence and arrested. He remains in custody at Hamilton Police Station.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were described as non-life threatening.
