Police appeal for witnesses to ‘suspicious’ boat fire
Police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation into a fire that destroyed a vessel near Barr’s Bay Park in Hamilton on March 30.
A spokesman said a suspect — described as a male, six-foot-plus, dressed in all black with a hoodie — was seen leaving the boat via the park, heading along Pitts Bay Road, then Woodbourne Avenue, on foot just before the incident.
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel extinguished the blaze and conducted initial inquiries.
The investigating police officer is appealing for any additional witnesses or people who may have relevant information or video footage, or who were in the area at the time of this incident, to come forward.
Witnesses are encouraged to contact Constable India Cheeseman by calling 211 or e-mailing icheeseman@bps.bm.
