A man was shot outside a Devonshire home in the latest firearms incident tonight.

A police spokesman said that shortly after 10.30pm, police received reports of multiple gunshots in the Cedar Park Road area.

The spokesman said: “Upon arrival, initial investigations indicated that a firearm was discharged in this area and a male victim had been transported to hospital in a private vehicle.”

The extent of the victims injuries are not known at this time.

The spokesman said the investigation into the incident was still in its early stages, but called on area residents who may have Ring cameras or CCTV systems to please check their devices for any suspicious activity that may have been captured in the lead-up to or in the aftermath of this incident.

He added: “Of course we will be surveying the various CCTV cameras that come into and out of this area to ascertain whether anything of value was recorded.”
