Police keen to speak with lounge patrons on gun incident
An unspecified firearms incident at about 3.15am on Saturday outside a bar in Sandys occurred while “a number” of people were inside, police said.
Police reported at the weekend that early reports suggested “a firearm had been brandished”, with “forensic evidence indicating that a firearm may have been involved”.
A spokesman asked for anyone who might have attended at the Zen Lounge on Hook ’N Ladder Lane at the time to get in contact “at the earliest opportunity”.
He added: “We are also interested in hearing from anyone who may have been in immediate surrounding areas of Cricket Lane and Scott’s Hill, Sandys, and may have heard or seen any suspicious activity between the hours of 3am and 4am on the day in question.”
Anyone with potential information can call Detective Sergeant Odessa Philip on 717-2193 or e-mail ophilip@bps.bm.
The public can use the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477, or share information with a familiar officer.
