Geri Mewett rode away with race three of the IBC Criterium Series in Hamilton as he beat out Darren Glasford and Damian Sharp to claim top honours in the Adult ‘A’ division.The US-based rider, who is visiting to run a junior camp for young cyclists, was a part of the chasing pack that swallowed up Dominique Mayho and Mark Godfrey as the pair attempted breaks throughout the race.Sunday’s race ended in a sprint finish with Mewett taking the spoils at the line outside of Mount Saint Agnes.The Adult ‘B’ race was dominated by Norbert Meyer who allowed Kevin Tucker and Padraic Browne to dictate the pace until the final ten laps when the winner rode clear for a comfortable victory.In a sprint finish for second place, Mtume Hart beat out Stephen Tomlinson.The Adult ‘C’ race was won by Martin Bolton, with Tokio rider Nigel Godfrey and Dnarte Lima rounding out the top three.The Junior ‘A’ race went to Rico Smith who was ahead of Molly and Charlie Pilgrim, while Zion Dowling was first across the line in the Junior ‘B’ race with Alex Pilgrim and Victoria Davis finishing second and third respectively.Fast Forward Bicycle Works rider Nicholas Pilgrim beat out Crime Stoppers Jayden Ming and Malik Joell in the Junior ‘C’ race.After three races of IBC Criterium series, Glasford, Mark Hatherly and Sharp lead the way in the Adult ‘A’ category.Meyer leads Ricky Smith Sr and Stephen Tomlinson in the Adult ‘B’ category, while Martin Bolton is ahead in the Adult ‘C’, with Nigel Godfrey and Wenda Roberts immediately behind.Anthony Rico Smith, Daniel Oatley and Gabriella Arnold are one-two-three in the Junior –‘A’ and Dowling, Alex Pilgrim and Victoria Davis round out the top three in the Junior ‘B’ standings.Nicholas Pilgrim, Jayden Ming and Malik Joell are the pacesetters in Junior ‘C’.After eight Bermuda Bicycle Association events so far this season, Team Fast Forward Bicycle Works continue to lead with 434 points.Team Winners Edge are only six points behind with 428 points while Team Madison have 297 points.Team Focus sit in fourth with 106, with Team Tokio on 87 and Crime Stoppers on 57.The series returns to Hamilton on August 28.
