Mayho continues winning ways

Dominic Mayho continued his domination of the Men’s ‘A’ class, winning the second mountain bike race of The Latter Rain Water Service Race Series at Ferry Reach on Sunday.It was another record turn out as 54 riders showed up to race on the two-mile course in perfect weather conditions.The Ferry Reach course, which favours the technical rider, did not fail to disappoint the participants, with a combination of steep climbs, riders were challenged at every turn.Mayho was followed closely by Dexter Swan in second place and Mark Hatherly in third.In Men’s B Class, Brian Steinhoff used his technical expertise to take class honours, followed by Mannard Packwood in second and Scott Mello in third.Philandro Hill won the Men’s Novice category, showing he has the skills to take the class, followed by Sean Correia in second and Chris Rouque in third.In the Women’s A Class, Sarah Bonnett held off Karen Smith for the win, while Sarah Jordan took honours in the Women’s B class.In the Male Junior Division, Robin Horsfield used his technical abilities to take class honours, followed by Daniel Hetzel in second and Evan Watkins in third.Newcomer Mathew Oliveira had a strong finish over Alex Aroujo in second and Isaiah Rickardi in third to win the Under-12 class.In the Female Junior Division, 13-16 years, Gabriella Arnold held off Elizabeth Jordan for the win, while the Under-12 class was won by Laura Hope.The Latter Rain Water Service Racing Series continues on Sunday at Fort Scaur, starting at 8.45am.
