Hopkins makes it five in a row

Kaden Hopkins claimed his fifth win since returning to Bermuda for the summer break after narrowly beating Conor White in the BRCC Road Race on Sunday.

Hopkins, who edged White in a photo finish in the recent BRCC Criterium, once again came out on top, posting a time of 1hr 31min 51.664sec.

The 19-year-old, who attends Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, claimed his second Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race title last month.

White placed second on Sunday in 1:31:51.964 while Jamie Cousins was third in 1:31:52.622.

Perennial contender Dominique Mayho could only finish thirteenth, having suffered a mechanical issue during the second lap.

Alan Mooney claimed the honours in the Adult B race, winning in 1:36:49.029, with Tommy Marshall second in 1:36:55.295 and Chequan Richardson third in 1:36:58.999.

Wayne Scott won the C division in 1:21:24.327, Anthony Smith came second in 1:21:28.230 and Tracy Wright placed third in 1:21:37.210

In the women’s race, Maddie Durkin placed first in 1:21:07.617, with Rose-Anna Hoey coming second in 1:21:07.925 and Allison Petty taking third in 1:23:13.448.
