Motorist injured in Pembroke collision

A man is thought to have been seriously injured in a collision in Pembroke this evening.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said a taxi was turning from Pitts Bay Road onto Woodbourne Avenue when it collided with a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.

Police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the incident shortly after 7pm.

The bike rider is believed to have sustained serious injuries, but the taxi driver was reportedly uninjured.

Traffic is being diverted away from the area while police process the scene and motorists should use alternative routes where possible.

Witnesses to the collision should call 211.
