Traffic diversions are in place in Devonshire after a “serious” collision involving a car and a motorcycle.

Police said that the crash occurred at 5pm near the junction of Brighton Hill Road and South Road.

A spokesman advised that westbound traffic was being diverted on to Devon Springs Lane, while eastbound motorists were being detoured on to Tee Street.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
