Three-vehicle crash in Warwick leaves two in hospital
Two people were taken to hospital today after a serious three-vehicle crash in Warwick.
Motorists were warned of diversions this morning while police carried out inquiries at the scene.
The Bermuda Police Service said that at about 9.20am, officers and other first responders attended South Road near the junction with Camp Road.
It added: “Early information indicates that a motorcycle and a car were travelling in a westerly direction when the driver of an eastbound car attempted to negotiate a left-hand bend, lost control of the vehicle and struck the two westbound vehicles.
“The rider of the motorcycle was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of a serious leg injury.
“The driver of the eastbound vehicle was also taken to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.”
Traffic heading west was being diverted onto Camp Road and eastbound traffic was being turned around at Warwick Camp while police processed the scene.
Anyone who may have seen the crash was asked to contact police at 211 as soon as possible.
