Police name teenager as third road fatality of 2026
The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in St George’s on Saturday night has been named by police as Siena Frankson, 16.
Ms Frankson competed in a number of sports on the island, including netball, tennis and cycling. She had helped out family members at the Natural Mystic Hub health food and natural remedies store in Hamilton.
She was also a talented artist, entering international competitions while a student at Harrington Sound Primary and Whitney Institute Middle School.
She was the pillion passenger on a motorcycle ridden by an 18-year-old male who reportedly lost control of the vehicle as they travelled east on Kindley Field Road, shortly before 7.45pm.
The bike struck rocks just west of Stone Crusher Corner, throwing Ms Frankson into the water. She was recovered by police officers, who performed life-saving measures until the arrival of EMTs.
Ms Frankson was pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The motorcycle rider, who police said was “incoherent” after the crash, was treated in hospital for minor injuries and discharged.
Police offered condolences and said a family liaison officer was assisting Ms Frankson’s loved ones.
An investigation into the third death this year on Bermuda’s roads is ongoing.
Witnesses who have not already come forward, or anyone with relevant information, are asked to contact Acting Sergeant Ralshon Douglas on 717-0964 or via e-mail at rdouglas@bps.bm.
