Car overturns in Paget collision

A woman had to be taken to hospital after her vehicle overturned on South Road in Paget early this morning.

Police said officers on mobile patrol around 1am came across the overturned vehicle – the latest in a spate of similar incidents – near the junction with St Paul’s Lane .

Although information was limited, the police said it is believed the driver had to be exrracted from the vehicle before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

There was no information on her injuries.

Traffic was diverted onto Middle Road while officers processed the scene.

Witnesses are urged to contact the police on 211.

This is at least the sixth report of vehicles overturning in road incidents since November. The most recent was on February 25 on Front Street when a car struck two parked vehicles and oveturned.
