Two men suffered non-life threatening injuries in a crash in Pembroke this week, police confirmed this morning.

The collision happened at about 2.10pm on Wednesday on North Shore Road, at the junction with Bandroom Lane.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said today: “Apparently, one rider, said to be a 24-year-old Pembroke man, was travelling in the eastbound lane of North Shore Road, while the other rider, said to be a 71-year-old Hamilton Parish man, was travelling in the opposite direction.

“The eastbound motorcyclist then attempted to turn on to Bandroom Lane and the vehicles collided.”

Both men were treated by emergency crews at the scene as well as at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Traffic was diverted while the scene was processed.

The 24-year-old rider was believed to have since been released from hospital.

Witnesses were asked to call Constable Cody Ballard on 211 or e-mail cballard@bps.bm.
