Police respond to weekend traffic incidents

Traffic incidents over the weekend included an overturned car that resulted in diversions for other motorists.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said that officers attended a single-vehicle crash on Friday at about 8.34pm along Malabar Road, near Cockburn Road in Sandys.

Upon attending, police learnt that a car was travelling west along Malabar road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it struck a wall and overturned.

No injuries were reported and no one was arrested.

Traffic diversions were put in place for about an hour while the scene was cleared.

At about 8.10am on Saturday, police were called to North Shore Road near Shelly Bay in Hamilton Parish.

Officer discovered that a motorcycle and a truck were involved in a collision.

The motorcyclist and pillion passenger sustained minor injuries and were tended to at the scene before being taken via ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

They were later discharged.
