Webinars on public school education

The Department of Education is to launch a series of webinars and podcasts about public school education.

The inaugural webinar takes place as a pilot on Friday afternoon, July 24th 2020, and will delve into a thread of the Social Studies curriculum namely, “Bermuda and Global Studies”.

The webinar will be streamed live commencing at 12:30 p.m. on the Facebook Page – Bermuda Public Schools (@BermudaPublicschools).

The webinar will have a panel featuring the Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Kalmar Richards, Director of Academics, Dr. Llewellyn Simmons, Education Officer, Social Studies, Mrs. Nicole Grant and Special Projects Officer Mrs. Nekesha Holdipp.

Members of the general public are invited to tune in to the webinar and submit any questions in advance at https://www.research.net/r/JF2QV2D

“This initiative is just one of the many ways we are improving communication with our stakeholders. I think it is important for the community to hear directly from the Department about its work,” said Commissioner Richards.

“I am grateful to our technical officers for agreeing to pioneer this initiative.”

Following the webinar pilot on Friday, July 24th, a series of webinars and podcasts about public school education will commence in the new school year, September 2020.
