Bermudian students studying in the US could soon be able to stay longer in the US to get practical training. The US Government on Thursday announced that it is expanding the list of science, technology, engineering and math degrees that allow foreign students who earn them to stay up to 17 months after graduating.During that time, the students can work in the US, getting hands-on experience in their field. The timing could also mean that students might not have to leave the US before getting an H-1B visa, a visa reserved for high-skilled workers that can last for as long as six years.
