Education consultation deadline is tomorrow
The deadline to write to Government over changes planned for the Island’s education system falls on midnight this Friday.
The Ministry issued a reminder that the public consultation on parental and community involvement in schools was nearing its close.
Government opted to review the Act governing school management following a Supreme Court ruling last year that overturned the transfers of two principals.
As a result of Chief Justice Ian Kawaley’s stipulation that the Ministry needed to consult with parent teacher associations, Education Minister Nalton Brangman called for a review of community involvement in the running of schools.
According to a spokeswoman, a final public meeting will be announced to share the results of recent public and private meetings.
Submissions can be sent to educationconsultation@moed.bm.
