Knowledge Quest salutes donors

Knowledge Quest, the scholarship charity now in its 15th year, fêted donors, graduates and scholarship winners, as its semi-annual party heard that $4.2 million had been committed to education.

The group specialises in “last resort scholarships for Bermudians who are academically capable but of limited financial means”, director Fiona Luck told the gathering.

Donations go directly into scholarships, and the charity is all-volunteer, meaning it has no overhead expenses.

Fellow director and past scholarship recipient Kerry Fletcher described volunteering after getting her degree from the University of Newcastle — and students Asha Bicarie, Antrell Butterfield and Jecar Chapman shared their experiences.
