Students back on land after four nights at sea on Spirit of Bermuda
Students from Dellwood Middle School have returned from a trip on the high seas on board the Spirit of Bermuda.
The students set sail on Monday morning and spent four nights on the training schooner.
The voyage marked the first regular residential expedition on the Spirit since the pandemic began more than two years ago.
Bermuda Sloop Foundation CEO Robin Hamill said: “Our experiential learning voyages offer structured learning through sail training, which combines core life education skills that complement in-school instructional learning with real-world experience.”
According to Mr Hamill, many students were drawn to careers in the maritime industry owing to their experiences on the ship.
