Public school registration deadline approaching

The deadline for registration for the Bright Start Programme, public preschool, middle and senior school levels is December 15.

Registration for the primary school level will commence at a later date owing to the rescoring process being carried out by the Ministry of Education as part of the Government’s education reform plans.

For students registering for the Bermuda public school system, forms are available here.

Online registration forms must be accompanied by a copy of a birth certificate and one of the following acceptable documents in the applying parent’s name to verify the child’s residential address: Belco bill, lease, internet statement, bank statement.

Parents are asked to redact financial information, such as account balances.

Evidence of a diagnosis of a disability/learning difference such as autism or dyslexia must be provided.

The Ministry of Education said: “The deadline for receipt of an online registration form is Friday, December 15, 2023. All registration forms submitted after this date will be deemed late.

“Late registration forms will be considered after all on-time registration forms have been processed.

“Registration for primary schools will follow the completion of the ongoing rescoring process relating to parish primary schools which was announced in July 2023. Additional information will be provided later.”
