Electrical fire temporarily closes Francis Patton School

Francis Patton Primary School had to close its doors for a day after a weekend fire, the Department of Education advised.

An electrical fire on Sunday in the school's IT cabinet and transformer room caused the temporary closure, with power restored in the morning.

Normal operations are to resume tomorrow.

School administration informed staff and parents of the closure in advance, with the education department thanking the community for understanding.
