Deadline for fintech training programme extended

An application deadline for the 2025 Fintech Training Programme has been extended to May 22.

A spokesman said the extension gave interested applicants additional time to complete their submissions and take advantage of funding support.

The training programme, which will run from June 2 to August 22, was designed to offer participants a practical and accessible opportunity to gain key skills in the financial technology and emerging technology sectors.

It will be led by the Economic Development Department in collaboration with the Department of Workforce Development.

The programme has been supported by global education partners and Bermudian-based industry leaders, and it prepares participants for careers in the digital economy sector.

Updated deadlines

Applicants are encouraged to note the updated deadlines:

• Reimbursement and final application deadline: May 22

• Last day to start fintech course: June 2

• Last day to start DWD modules: June 9

• Completion deadline for all courses: August 22

• Graduation: August 29

Participants will receive a self-paced online fintech curriculum, soft skills training by the DWD and bi-weekly webinars with Bermudian-based fintech professionals

The Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship, a fintech education provider, and ViableEdu, a fintech training company, will power the programme and offer expanded content and flexible learning formats.
