New appointment to Saltus board of trustees
A former student of Saltus Grammar School has been appointed to the institution’s board of trustees.
The school said Colm Singleton, of the class of 1994, brings a wealth of international experience and leadership to the role.
It said the board plays a vital part in the governance and strategic direction of the school, ensuring that Saltus continues to thrive as a leader in education.
E Michael Leverock sits as board chairman, while other members include Ian Cook, Kevin Dallas, Alexander Green, Amy Jagoda — who is an ex officio member — Liam Moloney and Sacha Simmons.
Mr Singleton serves as executive vice president and head of the Bermuda office at Allied World Assurance Company, where he oversees local operations and leads the Bermuda and global markets claims group.
Previously he practised law in London as an attorney with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, specialising in insurance litigation and arbitration.
He is the holder of a bachelor’s of history degree from Princeton University and a master’s of law from New College, Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
Mr Singleton also serves on the boards of the Bermuda Education Network and the Association of Bermuda International Companies.
