The Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning has been announced by Deloitte Bermuda as its 2025-26 community school, marking a yearlong collaboration on educational and workplace inclusion for neurodiverse learners.

Staff at the financial services firm will volunteer weekly to provide one-on-one tutoring for BCCL students, focusing on foundational maths skills.

In return, BCCL will deliver a series of lunch-and-learn sessions at Deloitte through the year on neurodiversity and inclusion.

The combined effort is aimed at demonstrating the power of collaboration between education and business sectors to foster equity.

Cindy Corday, the BCCL cofounder and head of school, said: “Our students benefit enormously from personalised support, but this goes far beyond academics.

“It demonstrates to our students that leading companies like Deloitte see their potential, believe in their abilities and value the unique ways they learn and contribute.”

Jarita Vickers, the chief financial officer and leader of the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee, said it offered a chance to make “a real difference for students while also learning how neurodiversity enriches our workplaces and our communities”.

The programme is to run through the 2025-26 academic year.
