Parents invited to learn about higher education opportunities
Parents will be able to learn more about further education options for their children as part of the Annual International College and University Fair.
EDcellerate, the organisation that hosts the annual fair, will hold a special parent information session on Wednesday between 5.30pm and 7pm at the CedarBridge Academy gymnasium.
The event is aimed at introducing parents and their college-bound children to local and overseas college representatives to learn more about the schools and enrolment.
Sandra Dill, founder and chief executive of EDcellerate, said: “Parents are integral to their children’s success.
“This session will provide families with the knowledge they need to play an active, informed role as they support the college to career journey.”
In addition to various universities in the US, UK and Canada, the event will included booths from the Department of Workforce Development, the Mirrors Programme and guidance counsellors offering support on navigating the enrolment processes, securing scholarships and internships.
Colleges scheduled to be involved include Bermuda College, the New England Institute of Technology, Nova Southeastern University, Oakwood University, Ontario Tech University, Queens University, Savannah College of Art and Design, St John’s University, St George’s University, the University of Guelph and the University of Missouri-St Louis.
