Saltus students take high honours in international exams
Two Saltus students were congratulated by the school after their scores in the global Pearson Edexcel International GCSE examinations put them among the top-performing candidates not just in Bermuda, but across the region.
Christopher Madeiros and Tristan Pettit, both SGY1 students, earned high honours in the exams, with Mr Madeiros achieving the highest mark in the Americas in English literature, as well as the highest mark in Bermuda for history.
The school said it reflected a deep engagement with the topics as well as academic rigour.
Mr Pettit also achieved top distinction, earning the highest mark in Bermuda in geography, highlighting excellence in analytical skills, global awareness and applied geographic understanding.
Julie Rousseau, the head of school, said: “These remarkable results are a testament to the dedication, curiosity and resilience of our students, as well as the expertise and commitment of our faculty.
“At Saltus, we strive to cultivate a learning environment where students are challenged to think critically, pursue excellence and develop a genuine love of learning.
“Christopher’s and Tristan’s achievements exemplify what our students can accomplish.”
The school added its appreciation to families and teachers for the support and guidance that contributed to the students’ success.
