Coral Beats to perform on final Creatives Live! event

The final Creatives Live! concert of the summer will take place on Saturday, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sport said today.

Passers-by around City Hall in Hamilton this weekend will be treated to performances by the multi-instrumental band Coral Beats.

The midday concert series has featured performances from artists including Joy T Barnum and the Tino Martinez Quartet.

Ernest Peets, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, said: “Our first Creatives Live! event kicked off in February and it’s grown in popularity since.

“The pandemic has taken its toll on so many of Bermuda’s livelihoods and industries. Sadly, our creative community have also been affected.”

He added: “These series of open air musical events provided an opportunity for our community to support Bermuda’s performing artists.

“These events were also a way to provide some moments of joy and upliftment during a difficult time for our community and we’re very glad that these concerts and our local talent were so well received by the public.”

The band will perform on the steps of City Hall between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

Attendees are asked to maintain physical distancing and to wear their masks at the venue.
