Guest performers at the upcoming Bermuda Piano Festival will be offering a free master class and private lessons for all ages this month.

The sixth annual event is scheduled to take place over three days next week at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.

Alex Tuchman, a pianist and artistic director of the festival, said: “The festival is presenting three unique concerts at the museum on Tuesday, June 20, Thursday, June 22 and Saturday, June 24 at 7.30pm, featuring five outstanding performing artists. Each concert is free and open to the public.

“We are excited to present this year's concert programmes, which feature a rich variety of repertoire from piano works by Barber, Fauré and Rachmaninoff to Shostakovich's Cello Sonata. Each concert will be a unique experience.

“We also offer a piano master class and private lessons with our guest artists free of charge and open to piano students of all ages and levels. Our goal is to provide a special opportunity for students to learn from the visiting performers and to encourage them to continue their musical studies."

Mr Tuchman has performed solo and collaborative recitals across the United States and Europe. He has played at numerous venues in Bermuda and has been a guest soloist with orchestras including Camerata New York and the Bermuda Philharmonic.

The concert series also features performances by esteemed musicians Eteri Andjaparidze, Inga Kashakashvili, Santiago Lomelin and Kate Kayaian.

June 20 at 7.30pm Piano Solo and Duo. Music of Clementi, Schubert, Villo-Lobos, Gershwin, Barber, Silverstrov and Oakley performed by Eteri Andjaparidze, Inga Kashakashvili, Santiago Lomelin and Alex Tuchman
