Live music is set to return to the Victualling Yard in Dockyard on Saturday as the Bermuda Philharmonic Society presents its annual Summer Pops Concert.

A spokeswoman for the group said the show would focus on hits from artists who have earned a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, including ABBA, Queen, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Beach Boys and Earth, Wind & Fire.

Kate Kayaian, the musical director, said: “This annual pops concert is about bringing the entire island together to enjoy great music, kick off the summer and have a great time.

“Come out and join us for the perfect date night, company trip, family outing or a fun get-together with friends.”

Gates for the event will open at 5pm with the concert starting at 6pm, with food and drink available for purchase.

Tent tickets cost $70 for adults, and $40 for seniors and students under the age of 19. General admission lawn tickets will cost $30, with attendees invited to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.

Tickets can be purchased at the Bermuda Philharmonic Society’s website Bermudaphilharmonic.org/events.

Chartered ferries have been scheduled for the event, with post-concert trips from Dockyard to Hamilton scheduled for 8.30pm and 10pm.
