A line-up of attractions for 2026 that “adds energy” to the island’s capital was announced by the City of Hamilton this week.

Highlights on the calendar include open-air film screenings, a citywide food tasting and Christmas-themed attractions.

Jessica Astwood, the City’s director of marketing and communications, said: “Our focus with these events is to offer programming that adds energy to the city across the seasons and gives people reasons to engage with Hamilton beyond their day-to-day routines.

“The 2026 calendar reflects that approach, with a thoughtful mix of familiar traditions and fresh experiences that invite people to enjoy Hamilton in new ways.”

She added: “These events also deliver measurable value to Hamilton’s economy, driving foot traffic into the city and supporting the restaurants, retailers and small businesses that power Hamilton’s commercial life.

“Together, they have a tangible economic impact, helping sustain year-round activity throughout the city.”

The season will start on April 4 with the Fresh Air Films: Drive-In Edition at the City Hall car park.

Attendees can watch a double feature from their vehicles with food and drink vendors on site.

The film series will continue on June 20 with Sunset Cinema, held at Point Pleasant Park, formally known as Albouy’s Point, in the evening.

The films for the events have not yet been selected.

Summer Sunday: City Funday will take place in Victoria Park on July 12, offering entertainment for all ages and promising family-friendly entertainment.

Attractions will include live entertainment, interactive games, a children's’ zone, food vendors and competitions.

Hamilton will be home to Taste of Bermuda, the island’s largest food festival, between October 8 and 11.

The culinary experience will shine a light on Bermuda’s diverse food culture through showcases and mini events.

Hamilton will ring in the festive season on November 27 with Rockin’ Around the City Tree, the annual Christmas tree-lighting event that offers families seasonal music, warm goods and a visit from Santa Claus.

The City Christmas Boat Parade on December 12 will bring the calendar of events to a close.

It will feature a flotilla of decorated vessels vying for recognition, alongside festive activities and entertainment at a viewing village.

The City invited members of the public to attend the events to enjoy a feeling of community spirit.
