Kendall Adams was named the winner of the 2026 Bermuda Idol Competition in front of a packed auditorium on Sunday.

The competition this year, held at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts, featured 15 local constants, each delivering their best musical performances in an effort to score the top prize.

The 15 were whittled down to five finalists, including Ms Adams, Arijahknow Live Wires, Sloane Johnson, Brandon “Mr Dread” Thompson and Angel O’Loughlin, who went before a panel of judges to determine the winner.

Glenn Blakeney, event founder and chief executive of Inter-Island Communications Ltd, said: “Bermuda Idol continues to be a powerful platform for local artists to share their gifts with the community.

“The passion, courage and talent displayed by this year’s contestants truly made this an unforgettable evening. We congratulate Kendall Adams and all of the participants who stepped on stage and gave it their all.”

Mr Blakeney added that “our past Idol winners turned judges have done amazing things locally and globally in the industry”.
